Self Portrait Autumn 2000
Reussbühl, February 2001

83 x 31 x 12 inches (without lever)

The onlooker stands on the feet of the portrait installation. Only from this perspective does the portrait appear in its right proportions, as a projection of the sloping track on the black ground plate, where eyes, beard, chest and navel are indicated by yellow balls. By pushing a lever the onlooker sets another yellow ball in motion that follows the outlines of the figure and thus draws the portrait on the black surface.
